Golden Gully real estate
A small suburb of the City of Greater Bendigo and one of the first gold discovery sites on the Bendigo goldfield.
The suburb
One of Bendigo's first gold discoveries
Golden Gully is a small suburb. It was one of the first gold discovery sites on the Bendigo goldfield in the early 1850s, worked by diggers, then puddlers, then dredgers and sluicers. George Lansell later overhauled the G.G. Consolidated mine. In December 1936 a sluicing party reported it had worked out the gully after 20 years. The Bendigo Ice Skating Rink opened here in 1986 and later closed.
