The old Longlea State School
Longlea is a locality in the City of Greater Bendigo, named after Shire of Strathfieldsaye councillor W. J. Long, who owned a property in the area. Longlea State School No. 1921, a one-room weatherboard school, opened in 1877 and closed at the end of 1993, when it merged with Axedale Primary School. The former school building is rated of local historic and architectural significance.
