Farming country on the Calder Highway
Leichardt is a small rural locality between Bendigo and Bridgewater, partly in the City of Greater Bendigo and partly in the Shire of Loddon. It was divided into farm selections in the early 1870s and has mostly been pastoral and cereal country since. The Calder Highway and railway line pass through. Locally there is a hall built in 1932, tennis courts and grain storage.
