Bagshot Hall and an old school story
Bagshot is a small rural locality between Goornong and Bendigo, named after the town of Bagshot in Surrey, England. In the 1880s it was part of the wider Goornong farming district. Its common school opened in 1867, replacing a private school held in a barn. It later became Bagshot Primary School but is no longer open. Bagshot Hall remains the local landmark.
