A WORD FROM OUR DIRECTOR

We are continually achieving record months in both sales and property management which has kept our entire team busy.  To add some interest to our daily routine we, like many, have been juggling COVID related issues and busy schedules which has made our office extremely busy (and fun) to keep on top of things.

This month we achieved our best property management figures ever and we listed 27 properties and sold 19.  A huge thanks to our team who have worked tirelessly. The market is showing some signs of cooling down a little, with slightly less numbers to inspections; albeit we are in an extremely buoyant market which will continue towards 2023 at this rate. Some contributing factors to a market slightly easing are the Federal Election, the war in Ukraine, Coronavirus and the whispers of a slight interest rate raise later in the year.  In saying this, Bendigo is driven much by rental property demand which will keep median price strong moving towards 2023-2024.

We have been doing some great stuff within the community now that we can get out and about again.  One focus of ours for 2022 was to increase our community activity which has included in April:Shave for a Cure – Courthouse Cutz (Brad and Kathryn were in attendance helping with an auction and other fundraisers) the event raised around $4,500.00. Al Findlay Fundraiser (held at S and R Park Eaglehawk).  Brad was involved in the charity auction and his band (Creepy Seals) entertained the crowd.  A huge congrats to Andrew Reid, Ash and Jo Wilson, and all the wonderful people who helped out – the day raised in excess of $40,000. Our team also have some involvement in this Friday’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library Golf Day (sponsoring and some general help) which helps raise funds to buyer books for under privileged children.  We are expecting a fantastic day.

We have plenty of our team members involved in junior football and soccer again which is all firing up in the coming months, Brad is coaching under 9’s at Eaglehawk, Darren in runner for Marong under 16’s, Catherine is a member at the Strathfieldsaye Colts and Tim is volunteering (when possible) for South Bendigo Under 14’s.

We have made some staff changes the past few weeks and we are wrapped (and lucky) to have added some wonderful people to our team.  Marley Domaille is Tim Rooke’s new assistant and has been doing wonders (and keeping Tim on his toes😊 we also welcome Lauren Dalton who is our new office manager and is loving her new challenge.  We would also like to wish Corinne Kinsman our sincere best, Corinne is leaving to pursue a nursing career – we know you will do great.  Renae Boucher will also be leaving us in April, Renae is heading off around Australia with her family for a year or two which is fantastic (I am jealous!).

We’re all looking forward to some family time around Easter, if you’re staying local, take the time to check the Bendigo Easter Fair – it is just fantastic.
