August has been a very interesting month to say the least for everyone dealing with our current lockdown status. This has been taxing on our real estate industry and as provoked change to some of our process, but we are getting through it with great results nevertheless. Listings and sales were very solid for the month and land is selling as soon as it is listed which is a great indicator of a buoyant market. Prices are still heading upwards and there is an obvious market confidence around Bendigo. We have all had to change tact a little with many properties being sold or leased through video or live video calls (mostly operated by the vendors themselves or persons that can legally take the video) and we have found relevant success with this. It has been a saving grace for people who have sold and need to secure another property within their settlement period. We are extremely optimistic moving towards Spring and Summer with less restrictions and plenty of buyers and sellers very keen to make moves, investors are still looking to property and there are plenty of tenants trying to lease homes which will be a welcome relief for the housing shortage in Bendigo.
