This strong demand has ensured that competition in the market has remained fierce, driving house prices and weekly rental returns upwards to an all-time high. Local movement has again been the major source of sales, along with increased numbers looking to move to Bendigo from outlying areas. Investors are coming from far and wide to take advantage of the buzz around Bendigo, and first home buyers are still very active in looking for established homes as there is a serious lack of titled land in Bendigo and surrounds. Average time on market is minimal, with multiple buyers usually competing for the one property.
