Methods of Sale

Private Sale

This is by far the most popular and preferred method of sale of real estate in Bendigo. Surveys conducted by PH Property have shown that more than 90% of both vendors and purchasers prefer a FIXED PRICE SALE rather than a negotiated price range. We constantly achieve outstanding results with fixed price private sales.

Auction

There are certain properties that are more suited to auction than others - particularly in the current Bendigo real estate climate.  

Price is determined by competitive bidding, with the property being sold to the highest bidder on the day.  A property can still be sold before or after an auction.  All offers prior to or at an auction have to be unconditional.  An auction is also designed to create a lot of attention in a relatively short term.

By Tender

This method is similar to the Auction method.  The difference is on the tender date, buyers submit their offer in writing by a certain time to our office – it is a more private way of selling property.  If the reserve price is not achieved then the property may then be marketed for private sale.

Expressions of interest:

This is the least practiced method where there has been no specific price disclosed and it is up to the interested party or parties to make an offer on the property.
